Ruby Lee Obituary

Sis. Ruby Delce Lee was born in Bryan, Texas on September 26, 1927 to the late Charlie and Phyllis Lewis. She departed this life on April 28, 2008 at 7:50 am in College Station Medical Center Hospital in College, Texas.

She is preceded in death by the husband, four sons, one brother, and one sister. Ruby's parents married and moved their family to Midland, Texas in the 1940's. Ruby met and married Henry Delce Jr. and raised 12 children, grandchildren and others that needed a home. Ruby accepted Christ at a young age. She was a member of Church of Christ. Where she attended until moving with her daughters from Crane, Texas on to Forth Worth, to Houston, Texas and finally resided in Hearne, Texas with a very beloved daughter Lovie Neal until God called her home. Ruby worked and retired from Sheraton Inn 1983 as a prizing winning Chef. She was best known as a hard working devoted lady with a lot of children and a great cook. She loved her family. She would help in anyway she could and at anytime day or night with love and a big smile. (That was "Mymee") Ruby leaves to cherish her memory, eight daughters, two adopted daughters and one son. Billie Nobles, Lester Delce (Debra) of Midland, Tex; Elthel Glover, Sharron Shelton (Milton), Phyllis Ileghart (Paul) and Debra Coreen all of Forth Worth, Texas; Lovie Neal (Terry), Hearne, Texas; Shirley Evans (Arnold) of Long Beach, CA; Henrietta Delce of Houston, Texas; Brandy Stephanie Bryant of New Haven, Co, Joann Banks of Lubbock, Texas; two brothers, Jake and James Lewis both of Midland, Texas; three sisters, Lovie Lewis and Ruth Henderson of Midland, Texas; Charlene Smith of Arlington, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
