Winnie Blanscett

1927 - 2022

Winnie Eddean Blanscett, age 95, died of natural causes on Sat, August 13, 2022 in Midland, TX. Winnie was born on February20, 1927 in Santa Anna, TX, to parents, I.E. and Reba Hartman. She graduated from Santa Anna High School in 1945. In 1947, She moved to Midland, TX and accepted a position as a telephone operator where she worked for more than 30 years. Winnie married Loy Blanscett in Midland, TX and the couple had 4 children together. Winnie was social, active, and one who was deeply involved in the Golf Course Church of Christ for the majority of her life. She enjoyed playing cards, babysitting, and cutting up with everyone. Her family and friends will always remember her as a fun, caring, helpful, and always smiling person. Winnie is survived by her 2 sons, Robert Blanscett, of Austin, TX; and Russell Blanscett, of Midland, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, Loy Blanscett; her daughter, Donna Blanscett; and her son, Randy Blanscett. A visitation will be held from 1pm-5pm on Thursday, August 18 at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 4616 N Big Spring St, Midland, TX 79705. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Winnie's life. The family would like to thank everyone who knew her for their prayers and friendship.
