Xavier Pulido Obituary

Xavier Curiel Pulido was born in San Fernando, California on August 16, 2003 and was granted his angel wings on February 24, 2017. Xavier's life would seem too short to many, but those who knew him were touched profoundly. His gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around him. Xavier attended San Jacinto Jr. High School and his favorite colors were red and green. He loved listening to music, especially anything upbeat that he could dance to. He was a great dancer! He loved all sports and played them all. He loved watching cartoons and his favorite superhero was Spiderman. He loved to draw, write and read books. He wrote a series of books where he drew pictures of his family and made up short stories. He would also paint superhero figurines and put them back in their boxes for safekeeping. Xavier was very artistic. Once a shy boy, Xavier transformed into the class clown. If he saw anyone down, he would do whatever it took to make him or her smile. He was loved by his classmates for his comedic behavior and his caring heart. There isn't a picture that was taken where Xavier didn't make a funny face. Xavier was a typical teen boy that loved to dress up for the ladies. He was known for his style and "J's being on Fleek." Xavier wanted to be barber when he grew up just like his big brother, Ezekiel. With Xavier's passing from this life, we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him every day, especially his winning smiles, he will forever remain in our hearts. Through his teachings about loving life, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be his parents. Xavier is survived by his loving mother, Adrian Curiel Pulido, and stepfather, Jimmy Padilla of Midland, Texas; father, Jose Pulido of San Jose, California; brother, Ezekiel Cain Curiel and sister-in-law, Hilda Qiana Estrada, who both helped raise Xavier; brother, Zachariah Mathew Curiel Pulido and sister-in-law, Aubrian Rice; sisters, Nevaeh K. Curiel Pulido and Serenity Pulido; maternal grandmother, Norma Nevarez; paternal grandparents, Jose and Fernanda Pulido; and nephew, Aydriell Zander Curiel. He is predeceased by his maternal grandfathers, Agapito Curiel and Don Garlick. Visitation will be held Friday, March 3, 2017 beginning at 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 2104 W. Louisiana Ave. in Midland. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Midland, 2104 W Louisiana Ave. with burial immediately following at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are entrusted to American Heritage Cemetery/Funeral Home/ Crematory, 4100 N. FM-1788, Midland, Texas, 79707. Online condolences may be expressed at www.thehealingstartshere. com.
