KERNERSVILLE — Arlene Joy Casstevens Alford, 59, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015. She was born January 25, 1956 in Surry Co. to Arvil John Casstevens and the late Jean Hawks Casstevens. Arlene was a graduate of East Forsyth High School, had been employed with American Express and currently employed with Bank of America. In addition to her father, surviving are her husband, Michael Alford; son, Nicky (Amanda) Collins; grandchildren, Caleb and Kyndal Collins; brother, Wayne (Elizabeth) Casstevens; sister, Doris (Ron) Pinyan; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2015 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Garland Glascoe officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Gur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte, NC 28215 or The American Diabetes Association, 1300 Baxter St., Suite 150, Charlotte, NC 28204.
