Joe Felts

Joe Dexter Felts, of Mount Airy, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday morning, Nov. 25, 2023. Mr. Felts was a native of Carroll County, Virginia, and was the younger of two children born to the late Dexter Elmer and Louvenia Edwards Felts. Joe retired from Proctor-Silex Inc. after many years of dedicated service, and he was a member of Dobson Church of Christ. He is survived by a niece and her husband, Jolene and Thomas Graybeal; a great-nephew, Chris Huckabee; and many cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Felts was preceded in death by a sister, Agnes Frances Felts Stoneman. The funeral service will be held Thursday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Arlis Thomas officiating. A private burial will follow at Independence Cemetery in Fancy Gap, Virginia. No formal visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with final expenses. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
