Opal Belton Obituary
Opal Faye Hall Belton, age 85, of Dobson, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at her home. She was born on May 25, 1937, in Surry County to the late Dee and Lillian Thomas Hall. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 67 years; L.C Belton Sr.; sons and daughter-in-law, Chadwick Daniel Belton, Phillip Belton Jr. (Susan); grandchildren, Abbigail Taylor (Christopher), Mackenzie Wilson (Austin); great-grandchildren, Adalyn Faye Taylor, Harper Evelyn Taylor. Mrs. Belton was preceded in death by her parents, Dee and Lillian Thomas Hall. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 24, at 11 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10 a.m. until time for the service at the funeral home. The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the care and support given during this time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Mrs. Belton to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 1427 Edgewood Dr Suite 101, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
