William Hooker

William Harold Hooker, age 66, of Mount Airy, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023, at his home. He was born on Jan. 15, 1957, in Surry County to Shirley Lowe Hooker and the late Gaston William "Tut" Hooker. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him. One of Mr. Hooker's quotes is "Everybody should have the chance to be me just one day in their life, because I've been blessed, and I've had a good life!" Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Mary Lynn Seal Hooker; sons and daughters-in-law, Chad Hooker (Ashley), Jake Hooker (Amanda), Adam Jones; grandchildren, Taylor Goad, Jackson Hooker, Madelyn Hooker, Chad Christian, Wyatt Hooker, Hannah Hooker, Reid Hooker; sister, Sandra Hiatt. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 31, at 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with service conducted by Rev. Grant Atkins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
