Albertine Snell Sanchez
Albertine Snell Sanchez "Ladybug" was called home on March 14, 2024 at the age of 81. She is an enrolled Nakoda/Assiniboine at Ft. Belknap, Montana, and is also Minnesota Chippewa from White Earth Nation. Albertine reminisced about riding horses as a child. She enjoyed eating Japanese food, watching mystery shows, listening to radio dramas, camping, and going to pow wows. She was preceded by her husband George D. Sanchez and had fond memories of their life together in San Diego. Albertine attended Southwestern College and particularly enjoyed photography class.
She was preceded by her parents: Albert F. Snell and Emily Johnson Snell, and mother, Josephine Payette; brother, Donald "Ducky" Snell; step-brother, Unizzum "Joe" Berry; son, Michael Anthony Snell; stepson, Max Sanchez; and her pet cats: Sally and Mittens.
She is survived by brother, Frank "Butch" Snell; daughter, Patricia Stiffarm (granddaughter Melisa Craig, great-grand kids Landon and Layla, and grandsons Jonathan Craig and Darien Thomas); daughter, Linda Sanchez Cochran (grandsons Sheldon and Travis Cochran, spouse-Dallas Cochran); stepdaughter, Marilee Duff, Robert Fitzgerald.
We love you mama/grandma, rest in peace. Cremation has taken place.

Mama thank you for always using a kind and gentle voice when talking to me. It was fun making and decorating sugar cookies for Christmas as a child, a tradition that I also shared with my kids.

My grandmother (Ladybug) i will miss. Never gone. Laugh she always had some chocolate for me. Good food and learning to cook. Learning about our culture. Gma I will miss you and I love you! I hope and know your happy. You are a good soul.
