Bud Bock, 69 POCATELLO - Charles "Bud" Bock, 69, loving husband, father, brother, friend, died peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006, at a hospital in Salt Lake City.
Bud was raised in Butte, and graduated from high school there in 1955. He enlisted in the Marines and served in Japan.
He met Donna Jean Eichhotz and they were married on Feb. 20, 1966, and would have been celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Bud was a heavy equipment operator for 20 years at FMC, and retired in 1987. He was a medical miracle. He lived for 18 years after receiving a heart transplant at the LDS hospital in 1987.
Bud along with his wife and best friend, Donna, own the Hoffbrau in Pocatello. Bud was a friend to all who knew him. He always had a smile a quick wit. Bud also loved sports and old country music. He will be deeply missed.
He loved to hunt, fish, camp and traveling, which included Costa Rica, Mexico, and Alaska. He loved reloading shells. He enjoyed his many collections including knives, guns and lighters, just to name a few.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Jean, Pocatello; children, Russell (Tiffany) Bock, Price, Utah, Pat (Jodi) Lane, Pocatello, Susan Davis, Salmon, Becky Bock, Pocatello, Brian Bock, Pocatello; sisters, Shirley (Dick) Correa, McKinney, Texas, Diane (Joe) Jewett, Helena, Kathy Bock, Butte; brothers, Orville (Wanda) Bock, Pocatello, Ken (Jan) Bock, Freetown, Mass., Don (Shirley) Bock, Pocatello, Leo (Tina) Bock, Alder; and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, a brother and his parents.
Graveside services for Bud are 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello.
