Constance Louise Cowan (Cummings)
March 3, 1940 - July 22 2022
Connie was born on March 3, 1940 in West Chester, Pennsylvania and passed away on July 22, 2022 in Las Vegas, NV. At the age of seven her family moved to Butte, Montana by train. She once told me she kept looking out the window for cowboys and Indians. She went to the Webster Garfield grade school and graduated from Butte High school in 1958 taking a commercial course. She was selected as a senior Princess by the student body but she was a Princess her entire life.
We were married in the IC church on February 27, 1960. We moved to California where our first son, Dennis, was born while I was still in the Marines. When I got out of the Corps we moved to Denver for about 8 months. Our second son, Chris, was born in Denver. We moved back to California. Connie raised the family and eventually got a job with the University of Phoenix in admission. She worked there 15 years and when I retired, she left as Manager of the admissions in the southern California branch.
When we retired, I wanted to move to Montana but would not go more than four hours from the children. We have two boys, one daughter-in-law and two granddaughters. Connie's family was the most important thing in her life. I like to think I am included in that group.
Connie is survived by her husband; her sons: Dennis and Chris; her daughter-in-law, Joan; her granddaughters: Brittany and Brook; her sister and brother-in-law: Trish and Rob Ahokas; her sister and brother-in-law: Kitty and David Brilliant; sisters-in -law: Jeri Fazzalaro, Cyndy Churchill, Donna Johnson and several nieces and nephews.

I still hold fond memories of Connie. I find it hard to believe that she is now gone for three years. She was a wonderful and generous person who will long be remembered by all that knew her. GOD BLESS!!!!

I have known Bob since the 1st Grade at the IC School. I met Connie when she was Freshman at Butte High and lockered next to Bob and me. I remember the romance beginning and when my wife, Marie, and I saw them last in early December of 2021, it was still there.
We were very close friends and when we were ever close over the past 60 plus years, we made a concerted effort to visit and reminisce.
We will miss Connie tremendously!
God Bless Her and may she rest in Eternal Peace!!
