Jack Benjamin Obituary

In Loving Memory

John (Jack) Benjamin, born on January 12, 1956, in Butte, Montana, peacefully passed away the Morning of March 2, 2024 in his home. After moving to Seattle in 7th grade and returning to Butte post high school, Jack, alongside his wife Lynn, established a beautiful life. They relocated to Seattle for a time, where they joyfully welcomed their two sons, Frank and Mark.

In 1992, the family returned to Montana, where Jack's love for horses and the state led him to acquire a ranch in Havre. Throughout his career as a pipe fitter at Northwestern Energy, Jack dedicated himself to hard work, retiring in 2020. His beloved wife Lynn preceded him in death in 2021.

Jack's legacy lives on through his two sons, Frank and Mark, and daughters-in-law Kayla and Cara. He was a proud grandfather to Ali, Jack, Marki, Levi, and Oliver.

Beyond his family, Jack devoted his life to community service, notably through his active involvement in Havre youth hockey and youth baseball. As a dedicated coach, Jack played a crucial role in the growth of Havre youth hockey, contributing to its evolution from a small pond to the impressive Havre Ice Dome. His impact on countless children's lives through coaching is immeasurable.

Funeral services to celebrate Jack's life will be held on Thursday, March 14th at 11:30 a.m. at St. Jude's with reception to follow at the parish hall. A second service will be held in Butte on Saturday, March 16th at Mountain View Cemetery with a reception to follow at East Side Athletic Club. Jack's memory will forever endure in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him, his family, and the communities he served with unwavering dedication.

So sorry boys, for the loss Jack was truly one of a kind His life was filled with so much joy, not only with coaching but also playing ball himself. He loved to hunt and fish. He always had a good story to tell. He also really had an ear for "name that tune "from the sixties, seventies and the eights.
