Sero Parini Obituary
Sero Parini, 87, died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, after a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 12, 1918, to Daniel and Olympia Parini, one of 17 children who homesteaded and resided in Elk Park. After spending most of his youth in Elk Park, Sero made his way to seek employment in Butte.
In 1941, Sero and nine of his brothers signed with Selective Service for World War II; they were the largest single family group to do so. Not all brothers went to the war, but Sero entered the war in 1941. Sero spent three years in the South Pacific as an artilleryman and was honorably discharged in 1945.
Upon his return to the United States and Butte, Sero met and married Suzanne Almond in November 1950. Shortly after that Sero began working for Christie Transfer Co. in Butte. He worked there for 30 years when he retired in 1980.
Sero had many loves - his wife Suzy of 55 years, as well as hunting.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, one sister and 10 brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Suzy; son, Sid (JoAnn) and grandchildren, Blake and Brock; daughter, Alethea (Steve) Light and grandchildren, Jessica (Matt) Wahlquist and Josh; daughter, Tina (Art) Sandborgh and grandchildren Sean (Skye) and Celeste (Cody) Jensen; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Luke and Liam.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Monday in Duggan Dolan Chapel in Butte. Interment will take place shortly after at the Sunset Memorial Park.

Many sincere condolences to you. I apologise I wasn't there for the funeral, but I don't read the montana standard every day, & wasn't aware of his death. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Suzy and Family,
I was sorry to hear of Sid passing. Sid and Suzy were so good to David (Knoepke)and I and gave David so much of their time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to "Auntie" and family.

I am so sorry to hear about Sid's (Uncle's) death. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Being part of my caretaker when I was younger, he has given me many many memories and I thank him for that. God Bless him and his family in this time of sadness.

Tina, Butch, Althea and children,
I am so sad to hear of Uncle's passing. Spending nearly every weekday of my childhood with your Mom and Dad left me with great memories that will never fade. I love them both dearly. The name Sero gave to me, "tootsie" will stick with me forever along with all of the memories. My thought and prayers are with you all in this time of sadness.

It has been a long time since I have seen Sero or any of his children. I have such great memories of you all and I am very saddened by the passing of your wonderful dad. My most sincere condolences for you all.
What I remember most about Sero was his great love for his children and the way he supported them always. I know his memory and his great love will live on through his children and his grandchildren. My prayers and thoughts are with you all at this sensitive time.
