MUSCATINE, IOWA – Joshua Keith Hultquist, 92, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Wilton Retirement Community.
Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m., on September 13, 2025, at Grace Lutheran Church. Reverend Susan Bantz will officiate. Private burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

Keith's family would like to thank Wilton Retirement Community for the great care provided to Marilyn and Keith since 2023 and also St. Croix Hospice for the end of life care for Keith.
Keith was born on December 1, 1932, in Swedesburg, Iowa, the son of Raymond Emanuel and Marvoleen Rosinthia Peterson Hultquist. He married Marilyn Hudson on September 10, 1954, at Swedesburg Lutheran Church.
Keith played basketball and baseball for Olds High School. Keith received his undergraduate degree in engineering and master's degree in business administration from the University of Iowa. He worked for the Army Corps of Engineers from 1955 to 1957 in Fort Belvoir, Va., and at Scott Air Force Base, near St. Louis, Mo. He was employed with Stanley Consultants until 1963, and then worked for Kent Feeds for 29 years, retiring in 1992. He volunteered for Muscatine Power and Water Board, Lutheran Homes Board, ImpactLife, formerly known as, Mississippi Valley Blood Center, and Grace Lutheran Church. Keith's favorite pastimes were playing golf, watching sports, and woodworking in his basement woodworking shop. He built many beautiful pieces of furniture for family and friends. He enjoyed winters in Vero Beach, Fla.
Keith is survived by his sons, Doug Hultquist and his wife, Nancy Reed Hultquist, of Rock Island, Ill. and Rick Hultquist and his wife, Tami Eggenburg Hultquist, of Muscatine; three granddaughters, Sarah Conrad and husband, Will, Amy Carter and husband, Andrew, and Kayla Ripperger and husband, Ryan; and seven great-grandchildren, Katherine, Caroline, George, and Robert Conrad, Henry and Charlotte Carter, and Mason Ripperger. Keith and Marilyn were also very close with nieces, Kim Boal Granback and Pam Boal Fosdick; and nephew, Steve Boal.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilyn; and a sister, Mailyn Rae Boal.
