Margaret 'Peggy' Siering

MUSCATINE, Iowa–Margaret 'Peggy' Siering, 87, of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at home.
Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at St. Mathias Church. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery. The Reverend Chris Weber will officiate. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Family of Mary or the charity of your choice. Peggy was born on October 2, 1933, in St. Louis, Missouri. She married Edwin H. Siering Jr. on June 25, 1955, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in St. Louis, Missouri.
Peggy graduated from St. Francis Xavier High School in St. Louis, Missouri. She worked at The Shapleigh Hardware Company in St. Louis until Michael was born and then became a dedicated mother and homemaker. She and her husband, Ed, moved to Muscatine in 1969 and became a member of the Ss. Mary Mathias Parish. Peggy was active in the Hospital Aux and delivered Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed playing bridge, needlepoint, was an avid reader, and a keen student of the game of golf.
She is survived by her husband, Ed of Muscatine; one son, Tom Siering and wife, Jill, of Naples, Florida; six grandchildren, Tom and Jills children, Patrick and wife, Molly, and Dan and wife, Taylor, and his son Mike and Tammy's children, Theo, Lila, Callie, and Hogan; five great grandchildren, Charlotte, Thomas, Elaine, Winifred, and Cedar; and daughter-in-law, Tammy Terrill Siering of Eliza, Illinois.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Marie Broder Moog; and two sons, Christopher Siering and Michael Siering.
