When I came to MPHS in Fall, 1974, characteristically Jack was one to make me feel welcome. He invited Hilt Foster and I to attend a football game at UM. Upon arrival he opened his trunk to pull out a basket of fried chicken that Sally had prepared that morning. This was my introduction to the "tailgating" concept, an ritual unknown to me. I remember nothing about the game that day, but I have never forgotten the fried chicken and the Weisenburger graciousness. My thanks for sending this wonderful family our way. Prayers to the family. Jack will be missed.

Jack was always a class act. He was a kind and caring. He showed me (as a young neighbor) how to treat people well, regardless of their situation or financial wherewithal. He left an incredible legacy of quality humans to walk in his footsteps. Thank you Jack (and Sally) for always treating me with respect and compassion.
