My deepest sympathy to Jane and the family in your loss of Lou. Both my children's lives were enriched having him for a teacher and coach while at Orchard View, His kindness and consideration was appreciated. I enjoyed working at OV and with Jane in Community Ed and always enjoyed his jokes and smiles. May God Bless you all and bring you comfort.

Years ago, when I was still trying to find my confidence as a new full-time faculty member, a man stopped me one night in the hall outside my classroom. He said he just wanted to let me know that he had heard me teaching in my 102 class, and that he liked my style. For an educator as universally loved and respected as Lou was, both inside and outside the classroom, I consider that high praise indeed. I will miss your sense of humor, I will miss the dedication you brought to the classroom, and I will miss the simple friendly hello in the office or the hallway every week. Godspeed, Lou. You will be missed and well-remembered.

Lou had a sense of humor that would not quit. This is the man who challenged me to take an all guys gym class when I tried to sneek out of the door realizing I was in the wrong class.Of course when we played basketball, with shirts on shirts off being the fair man that he was, always cut me some slack. I had a lot of different classes over the years with this larger than life teacher and I am a better person because of him;thank you Lou Graham and Peace and comfort wishes to your family. The world has lost a beautiful, loving, compassionate man; one who walked his talk as he challenged those who were blessed to know him to live into their best selves. Lou's life & legacy live on in those whose lives have been enriched by his care, concern & compassion. May peace fill the hearts of those who knew him & loved him deeply.
