Donald Howard Hull

Donald Howard Hull passed away on November 2, 2025, in Lynden, Washington at the age of 78. He was born on January 26, 1947, in Sedro Woolley, Washington, to Bill and Lorraine Hull. Don was a graduate of Sedro Woolley High School, where he was a standout athlete, particularly on the football field. His love for sports continued throughout his life, especially as a lifelong fan of the University of Washington Huskies football team. After high school, he furthered his education at Western Washington University, setting the foundation for a successful career. Don was known for his hard work and dedication in various roles throughout his career. He began as a salesperson for Cascade Logger Supply in Chehalis, Washington, later moving with his family to Lynden to become business owners with his wife Gayle, and eventually working as a salesman for Western Fluid Components. His passion for his work was evident, and he built lasting relationships with colleagues and clients alike. On September 9, 1966, Don married the love of his life, Gayle Loop. Their marriage was a testament to love and partnership, and together they built a beautiful life. One of Don's greatest joys came in the form of his children and grandchildren. He found immense happiness in spending time with them. His playful spirit and caring nature made him an exceptional husband, father, and grandfather. He reveled in sharing his love for fishing and family outings at their beloved cabin on Day Creek. Don is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Lorraine Hull. Don will be dearly missed by his wife Gayle Hull; children Brian (Tracy) Hull and Kristin (Jorge) Alvarez; his grandchildren Elizabeth, Oskar, and Ada; as well as his sister Barbara Nelson. An open house celebration of Don's life will be held on Saturday, November 15 from 1-4pm at the Sedro Woolley Community Center, 703 Pacific Street.
