Michael Layne Behnke

Michael Layne Behnke, age 70 of Bellingham, WA passed away on March 18, 2025 in Bellingham, WA. There will be a family and friends gathering held at 4400 Rural Rd. Bellingham, WA on April 26th at 3:00. Mike was born in Bellingham, WA to Bert and Barbara Behnke on February 23, 1955. He went to Ferndale High School and graduated in 1973. He worked in many industries over the years and enjoyed woodworking, recreational fishing along with Commercial fishing with his son, Austin. He also enjoyed many extraordinary projects over the years. Mike had a unique personality, living freely, embracing every person and situation that came across his path. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. Mike is survived by his children, Austin, Nik, Sarah, Amber, Michael, Amelia and Willow. Grandchildren, Ryker, Christopher, Rilee, David, Karma, Micha, Loralie, Violet, Charles and Oliver. Sisters, Nancy Stull and Lori Steinbach. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Barbara and his brother, Randy Behnke.
