Anthony Provenzano Obituary
Bound Brook - Anthony J. Provenzano, 83, died Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset. Born in Brooklyn NY, he was the son of Gustave and Rose Provenzano. Anthony was a graduate of Villanova University and Rutgers University. He received his Masters Degree in social work and was still working as a social worker with Community Access Unlimited. Anthony enjoyed community theatre and was active in theatres in both New York and New Jersey. He was a faithful communicant of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in Bound Brook serving as a lector and Eucharistic Minister as well as a bereavement counselor.
Anthony was predeceased by his brothers Tommy, Gus, and Jack and his sister Ann Marie Provenzano. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Arlene,
his five children Mark Provenzano of Bound Brook, Laura Hnasko, and husband John of Raritan; Stacey Venditti, and husband Andy of Raritan, Greg Provenzano and Tameka Ridley of Hillsborough, and Eric Provenzano of San Francisco. His brother John Provenzano and Andrew Provenzano and wife, Karma, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Gathering with the family will be on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, from 10:00 AM to Noon at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, followed by a 12:30 PM memorial mass at St. Mary of Czestochowa in Bound Brook. Cremation was private. Memorial donations in Anthony's name may be made to Community Access Unlimited, c/o Cara Claire, 80 West Grand St., Elizabeth, NJ 07202 or online at www.caunj.org

A good person, who will me missed by many. Tony gave me opportunity to work at FCS of Somerset County, which was a very positive 11 year experience. My condolences to his wonderful wife and children. You and Tony are in my prayers.

Our dearest Arlene, I just got out of the Hospital her in Mass. & just learned of Tony's passing. Shuey has lost not only a valued friend but the mentor who changed her life, & I a dear dear friend. Unfortunately We are unable to travel now,but will call tomorrow to try to express our love & sorrow to you and the wonderful Provenzano family. Sid & Shuey

I will miss his smile and singing around the office. Also he was the one who collected money for all of us to play the lottery. His trainings were both informative and entertaining. He will be missed. Rest in Peace Tony and I hope you're in Hawaii resting and relaxing. :) I'm sorry we never made that trip to Trenton together to get our winnings... until we meet again on the other side, Love, peace and prayers for you and your family, Little Buddha
