Antoinette Angelis Obituary
AGE: 90 • Manville
Antoinette L. (Coviello) De Angelis, 90, entered into eternal life on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at home, surrounded by loving family. Born in Newark, daughter of the late Girolamo and Filmeno Coviello, she was raised in Lynhurst then spent eight years in Montclair before moving to Basking Ridge in 1954 settling to Manville in 2003.
Antoinette retired from Burroughs Corp. in Mt. Bethel where she was employed from 1958-1975 as an online inspector. For many years she was a volunteer at the VA Hospital in Lyons. While residing in Basking Ridge, Antoinette belonged to multiple clubs. She was a former communicant and rosarian at St. James Church in Basking Ridge and presently of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville.
Besides her parents, Antoinette was predeceased in 2003 by her beloved husband, with whom she shared over fifty years of marriage, Alfonso R. De Angelis whom she wed on November 3, 1946; and four sisters and a brother. Antoinette leaves behind her loving children, daughter, JoAnn Deitrich of Manville and son, Ken De Angelis and his wife Judy of Vermont; and dear sister, Nancy Coviello. She will be deeply missed by five cherished grandchildren, Kevin Deitrich, Jennifer and her husband Robert Rutledge, Kristen and her husband Dan Cumming, Jesse De Angelis and Anthony De Angelis and his wife Jennifer; three precious great grandchildren and many adored nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Thursday, September 26, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Friday, September 27 from 8-8:30 am. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Friday, September 27 beginning at 8:30 a.m. followed by a 9:00 am funeral liturgy at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Committal words and interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Antoinette's memory to VA New Jersey Health Care System, Lyons Campus, Voluntary Service Office (135), 151 Knollcroft Road, Lyons, NJ 07939.
