Arthur "Artie" J. Dunne, Jr.

AGE: 63 • Middletown

Arthur J. "Artie" Dunne, Jr., age 63, of Middletown, NJ and Palm Beach Gardens, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014. He leaves behind a loving family and a lasting legacy. Arthur was born in Bayside, Queens to Arthur and Peg (nee Shea) Dunne. He graduated from Saint Francis High School in Buffalo, NY and went on to attend Saint Francis College in Brooklyn, NY. Artie was an accomplished swimmer and water polo player who starred on high school, college and the New York Athletic Club teams. After graduating college, he entered the insurance industry where eventually he formed his own company, The Risk Management Planning Group (RMPG). The company was defined by Artie's personality and his sense of integrity. He was an active member of numerous organizations including The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, Knights of the Holy Sepulchre and Camp Sunrise. He will be remembered as always willing to help anyone in need.

Arthur is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Sheila (nee McPartlin); his sister, Toni and her husband Ray Pendergrass; his three loving sons, Liam and his wife Stacey of Cedar Grove, NJ, Peter and his wife Christina of Moorestown, NJ, and Sean of San Francisco, CA. He will be sadly missed by his adoring grandchildren, Jack, Sean, Maggie and Ellie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and his lifelong friend, Peter Leonard. While Arthur left this world too soon, he accomplished much in a short time and leaves behind many good friends and fond memories. He will forever be remembered for his generosity and willingness to help others. He touched so many lives and was such an influential presence for his family. Words cannot express the loss of "Artie Dunne." He was loved by all and will be truly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home, 1076 Madison Ave., New York, NY. I still remember Artie time to time. I hope his family is doing well. He had a good heart. I will never forget his kindness to me. My daughter needed braces in conservation I said it. He told me to talk to a manager and he allowed me to take out a loan. I was able to pay it back each paycheck the amount I could afford. Rest in peace.

Dear Dunne Family,
I send my profound support in your loss. You were indeed blessed to have shared Artie's life. I will never forget my memories with him at St Francis High School. He was BMOC and I was not in the 'in crowd', yet he made me feel special through kindness, repect and friendship. I will always regret not having stayed in touch.
St Francis tells us that it is through dying that we are born to eternal life.
His life was a true Franciscan Life

February 22, 2014

We offer our sincere condolences to the Dunne family on their sudden and tragic loss. We never had the pleasure of meeting Arthur, who was a good friend of Joanne's brother. Just last December, however, our daughter, who lives in New York, was suddenly diagnosed with a condition that required serious neurosurgery. As soon as Arthur heard of our situation he immediately called people he knew at the hospital to which we wanted our daughter transferred, and remained involved until everything was in order. With his generous help the transfer was far smoother than it might otherwise have been, and our daughter received some of the best neurosurgical care in the world. We are forever grateful to Arthur for his help in our time of need.
