Mrs. Beverly Hicks Cron, 72, a resident of 208 Rappahannock Drive, Chocowinity, NC died Monday, Feb. 21, 2011 at the University Health Systems Inpatient Hospice in Greenville, NC. Beverly was born in Plainfield, NJ on June 6, 1938 daughter of the late Bertram Claxton Hicks and the late Phyllis Margaret King Hicks. She was a 1956 graduate of Metuchen High School and continued her education at Ohio Wesleyan University and also at Katherine Gibbs Business College in New York City. She married Walter Charles Cron on June 28, 1958 who survives.

Surviving along with Mrs. Cron's husband, Walter of the home are two sons, Rhett Cron of Larkspur, CA and Gregg Cron and his wife Marcy of Cumming, GA; one daughter, Teri Dunne and her husband Kevin of Norton, MA and five grandchildren, Jacqueline Dunne, Zachary Dunne, Cassidy Cron, McKenzie Cron and Courtney Cron. Mrs. Cron was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Andrew Hicks.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Marion Shepard Cancer Center, 1209 Brown Street, Washington, NC 27889 or to University Health Systems, Service League of Greenville Inpatient Hospice, c/o PCMH Foundation, P.O.
