CHARLES E. ANGERSBACH
AGE: 80 SOUTH RIVER
Charles E. Angersbach, 80, of South River, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 7, 2009, at his home, with his loving family at this side. Born in South River, he was a lifelong borough resident. Before his retirement 20 years ago, he was employed as a maintenance supervisor at Personal Products, a division of Johnson & Johnson in Milltown, where he worked for 40 years. Mr. Angersbach was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War and was a member of South River American Legion Post 214, South River Knights of Columbus Council 3001, and St. Stephens Roman Catholic Church, South River.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Mary Angersbach. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Rosemarie Murasky; his children and their spouses, Charles and Carol Angersbach of McGaneysville, Va., Darlene and Larry Mauro of Freehold, and Alex and Kay Kovach of Stevensville, Md.; his grandchildren and their spouses, Rita, Gina, Jamie Mauro, C.J. and Jill Angersbach, Nicole and Nathan Russell, Alicia Kovach, Jennifer and Garett Corn, and Alex Kovach; his great-grandchildren, Luke Angersbach, and Rylie and Grayson Corn; his brother, Russell Angersbach of South River; his sister, Mary Cicchi of South River; and his goddaughter and caregiver, Linda Wright of South River.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, May 10 at Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Ave., South River. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday, May 11 from the funeral home, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass at St Stephens R.C. Church, South River, with private cremation to follow. At the request of Charles, his cremated remains will be buried at sea by the U.S. Navy at a time convenient for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the South River Emergency Squad, 6 Thomas St., South River, NJ 08882.
