CHRISTINA L. HAHN
AGE: 89 NEW BRUNSWICK
Christina (Chibbaro) Hahn died on Sunday morning, Feb. 22, 2009, at the Parker Home in New Brunswick. She was 89 years old. Mrs. Hahn was born in New Brunswick to Salvatore and Concetta Chibbaro. She lived in New Brunswick for many years where she and her husband Nick owned and operated Hahn's Cleaners. She was a very talented seamstress and had a great eye for fashion. She advised and sewed for many well dressed New Brunswick ladies. In her later years, Mrs. Hahn lived in the St. Mary Apartments on Remsen Avenue from 1995-2005. She also lived with her daughter in Madison, NJ prior to residing in the Parker Home in New Brunswick.
She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Hahn and her brother, Matthew Chibbaro. Mrs. Hahn is survived by her daughters; Kathleen H. Clark and her husband Gerald of Madison, and Constance J. Young and her husband James of N.C., her sisters; Martha Hahn and her husband Matthew and Stella Osofsky Shamy and her husband Frank, her brother; Isadore Chibbaro and his wife Lorice. She is also survived by her devoted grandchildren, Philip Clark and his wife Marguerite of San Francisco, David Clark and his wife Christine of Chatham, Emily Clark of New York City, Nicholas Young of N.C., and Jason Young and his wife Lori of Hillsborough and her great-grandchildren; Isabelle Rose, Campbell Christina, Gerald Maclynn, Charles David, John Sebastian, Brooke Helen, and Briana.
Friends and family may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Mount Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Interment will follow at St. Peter Cemetery in New Brunswick.
