This amazing man, was a true friend to many, an idol to some, a caretaker, and connoisseur of anything with gravy. He defined what it meant to be a family man, unselfish, forgiving and the first and one of the only true examples of unconditional love in my life. There was nothing that stood in the way of LOVE in my home, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do to protect that LOVE. This man was my father; he forgave all my mistakes, he taught me to swim, to drive, to dance, and to take pride in all of my life’s efforts. He is my Hero, the person I will forever try to live up to. If the good Lord blesses me with a family of my own, I will pass on the “Daniel E. Mahedy Sr.” Legacy. Love your spouse, your life partner, hold there hand and never leave them without a kiss. Love your GOD, for all of your blessings the ones you pray for and even the one’s that you don’t. Love your children, your family. Remember to tell them that they were indeed a choice, and that their beautiful presence in your life is what makes you whole. Celebrate the little things in life like your birthday meal, even if its meatloaf, brussel sprouts and boiled cake. Give yourself to others; share your talents and your time with friends, and neighbors. Tell your stories and most importantly listen to the stories of others, and when you listen really listen. Daddy I love you, I will sing your songs, tell your stories and live my life every day in your honor. You’re Baby Girl, Brendy

You were a great uncle and Godfather. I always enjoyed staying at your house when I was young. You always remembered us with cards and fond thoughts. You will be missed but not forgotten. Our sympathy goes to your family. Thanks for being such a great Uncle.

Uncle Danny,
You were a great man. A man who was fun, caring and giving. I enjoyed your company immensely. I am so grateful that God sent you to me as my uncle. I hope they have potato chips in heaven! I will miss you but never forget you!
Until we meet again,
Love
Maureen

You were a great man, uncle, father, and husband to many. You will never be forgotten and will live forever in our hearts. Rest in peace and we will take care of your family as you have taken care of them and many of us during your life. We love you and will miss you, gone but never forgotten. Thank you for being you and touching our lives.
