Daniel Takacs Obituary
AGE: 54 • South River
Daniel Takacs, 54, of South River passed away Friday August 9, 2013 at his home. Born in New Brunswick he has resided in South River all of his life.
Mr. Takacs was employed by the South River Board of Education as a custodian for the past 11 years. Daniel was a member of South River Knights of Columbus Council 3001 an a former communicant of Saint Mary of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in South River.
He is predeceased by his parents William & Cecelia and his stepfather Floyd Wyluda. Surviving are his siblings and their spouses William & Diane Takacs of Toms River and Denise & Brian Reynolds of West Palm Beach, Florida, his life partner Diane Shutt of Emmaus, Pennsylvania, his grandson John "Scooter" Pelczar, and his nieces nephew Katherine, Michael and Kelly Reynolds.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11 am at the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Avenue South River with burial to follow at Saint Peters Cemetery, New Brunswick. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Tuesday from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. Letters of condolence may be sent to the family at www.maliszewskifuneralhome.com

Danny boy, you had a heart of gold. You left us way too early. Diane,Gabby, your little ball of joy Scooter , and I will miss your goofy smile every day. My condolences to the Takacs family and to Diane. I first met Danny back in kindergarten and he was a class clown then. We graduated HS together and lost touch after that. I remember his smiling face and wonderful attitude. RIP Danny...you died much too young.

I am very sad. I was in a band with Danny back in the 80's. We had great times. I reconnected with him in 98 but we lost touch once again. I will be at the viewing to see my friend off.

I would like to pass on my condolences to Danny's family. I was a school pal of Danny's when we went to Willett School. He was a fun kid and funny, too. I will say a prayer for Danny and his family. I'm so sorry for your loss.
