DAVID RALPH BERARDO
AGE: 57 SOUTH RIVER
David Ralph Berardo age 57 of South River passed away Thursday December 9, 2010 at his home. Born in New Brunswick he was a lifelong South River resident. He was a South River High School Graduate and was employed by Bristol Myers Squibb in New Brunswick as a refrigerator engineer for 32 years. Mr. Berardo was an honorably discharged US Marine Veteran serving as Lance Corporal who also received a National Defense Medal.
He is predeceased by his father Ralph. Surviving are his wife. the former Donna Yelmini, his son Jesse David of South River,his mother Jean of Flemington, his sisters Christine Sidotti of Flemington, Patricia Kramley and her husband Joseph of Doylestown, PA. and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 9am Monday at the Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Ave., South River with the burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery , East Brunswick. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 2pm to 6pm.

I would like to thank everyone who came to pay their respects to David and his family. David had been suffering with heart disease and after his heart attack last year on Good Friday, he just never bounced back. David led a full and active life , he loved the Lord and he loved his family. We will all miss him, the Birdman. We shared a lot of joy and also some sorrow in the 22 years we were together. I thank God for our son Jesse David, he is the greatest gift and I am blessed to have such a son as he. I know in my heart and soul that David is with our Savior Jesus Christ and one day we will be together forever. He ran a good race and now his reward is everlasting life. For Jesus said that whosoever believes in Him shall never die(spiritually) but will be with Him in heaven forever. Amen

My thoughts and prayers are with David's loved ones at this time of sorrow. Even though I have not seen him in many years, I will always remember his compassion and kindness towards myself and my family.
