DIANE MARY PFANSTIEL
AGE: 58 BELLE MEAD
Diane Mary Pfanstiel, 58, died suddenly on Thursday, October 14, 2010. She was Born in New York and moved to the Belle Mead area in 1976. Diane worked for Telcordia Technologies in Piscataway for over 30 years retiring in 2008. She was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Skillman. Diane was a master gardener in Somerset County. She enjoyed flowers, being outdoors in the sunshine, reading and especially spoiling her nephew and nieces.
She was predeceased by her parents Stanley and Helen Markowski. Surviving are her husband of 32 years Allen, her brother John and his wife Christine Markowski, her sister Eileen and her husband Roland Boulanger, her nieces Alexis Ratliff and Laura Markowski and her nephew James Feeney.
Funeral Services will begin on Monday, October 18th at 9:15am in the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 Rt. 206, followed by a 10am Mass in St. Charles Borromeo Church, Skillman. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Queens. Visiting will be Sunday from 2pm-6pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, PO Box 650309, Dallas, TX. 75265 in Diane's name.

I had the pleasure and honor of knowing Diane. She was a neighbor and fellow parishoner at St. Charles Borromeo. After I left the parish she never forgot to keep in touch. A kinder and more loving person could not be found. She will be remembered with great affection and appreciation.

I feel so fortunate to have known Diane. She was kind, compassionate and helpful to all who had the privilege to know her. The community of St. Charles is saddened greatly by her loss. My deepest condolences to her whole family.

Yes, when I think of Diane I think of flowers too! She was a "ray of sunshine".....always there to help. Diane was a wonderful friend. My family and I will miss her presence in our lives, but she will forever be in our hearts.
