Donald Benhardt Obituary
North Brunswick - Donald E. Benhardt, Sr. died Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 71.
Born in New Brunswick to the late Donald J. and Lauretta (Gardner) Benhardt, he lived in North Brunswick for most of his life. He was a history teacher at J.P. Stevens High School in Edison for 20 years before retiring in 2015.
Mr. Benhardt was a member of the Civil War Heritage Foundation.
Surviving are his wife Adele (Casazza) Benhardt; two sons - Donald E. Benhardt, Jr. of North Brunswick and Jason Benhardt and his wife Kelly of Old Bridge; and three grandchildren - Leah, Gavin and Piper.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be 9:45 AM Wednesday from Selover Funeral Home followed by a 10:30 AM Mass at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 1730 US-130 North, North Brunswick. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick.
