DONALD J. MASCARITOLA
AGE: 58 ISELIN
Donald J. Mascaritola of the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township died on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011 at home. He was 58 years old. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he resided in Iselin for the past 20 years. Mr. Mascaritola was a 1970 Graduate of Middlesex County Vocational-Technical School in Perth Amboy. He was a self-employed Floor Mechanic for most of his life. Donnie was a member of The H.U.B.S. in Perth Amboy and was an Avid Bowler, Bowling at Woodbridge Bowling Center for many years; He enjoyed playing Golf and was a New York Giants and Yankees Fan.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Ann Valentich Mascaritola. He is survived by his fiancée, Karen Zglobicki of Avenel; six brothers and sisters, Frank Mascaritola of Texas, Linda Banach of Avenel, Doug Mascaritola of West Long Branch, Roger Mascaritola of North Brunswick, Ronnie Mascaritola of Pennsylvania, and Mellisa Glavas of Avenel; 13 nieces and nephews.
Funeral will take place Saturday 10:00 a.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, (www.costello-koyen.com) 399 Avenel Street, Avenel Cremation will be private. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul's Memorial Fund 231 1st Street Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.

I have just learned of Donnie's passing. What an absolute joy that man was. Great fun, late nights and good times at Bud's Hut, and of course in softball. Donnie was truly one-of-a-kind. My heavy heart goes out to Karen, Dougie, Roger and all of Donnie's family and friends. "Don't cry because we lost him. Smile, because we once had him." We'll miss him. Bud's & Avenel is not the same without him.

It is hard to believe you are gone. The shock has not worn off and wont for some time to come. You will be so very missed by all especially by your Hubs brothers and Karen. We will watch over Karen for you and be there to help her thru this difficult time.

I just want to thank you for being a wonderful part of my life. For all you did for my dad and Pat as well as my grand parents and not to mention your over the moon generosity with my husband.

Like many others I remember you from your days in Bud's Hut. You were always the nicest guy and had a lot of patience with a little girl who had the biggest crush on you. You were a fine gentleman and a good soul. My Mom liked you very much and always said what a wonderful guy you were.
