Eleanor Corcoran Obituary
AGE: 97 • South Brunswick
Eleanor F. Corcoran, 97, of South Brunswick died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Brandywine Senior Living At Princeton surrounded by her loving family. Born in Ridgewood, Queens, NY, she has been a resident of South Brunswick for the past 2 years. Eleanor was a member of Holy Child of Jesus Church, New York and was very active as president of the Altar Rosary Society and many community affairs. Eleanor had a strong zest for life, she enjoyed singing, dancing and playing the piano.
Daughter of the late Michael and Madeline (Knothe) Nelson, wife of the late Edward F. Corcoran, sister of the late Bernard and Michael Nelson, Agnes Haarstick, Muriel Steffan, she is survived by 3 sons Edward, James, Michael Corcoran, a daughter Kathleen Yursha, Brother John Nelson, 14 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Masss of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, St. Cecilia's Church 10 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, Monmouth Junction. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place,Memphis, TN 38105
