GENEVIEVE "JEAN" GORACY
AGE: 77 METUCHEN
Genevieve "Jean" (Piotrowski) Goracy, 77, died on Friday, May 28, 2010 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick. Jean was born in Jersey City and has been a life-long resident in Metuchen. She has been a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral for 50 years and has been a member of the JFK Ladies Auxiliary for 30 years. Jean is an avid reader who loves gardening and traveling. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Jean is predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Goracy and her brother, Joseph Piotrowski. Jean is survived by her son, Edward R. Goracy and wife Nancy of Pottersville, NJ; her two daughters, Karen Reinhart of Wilbraham, MA and Susan Goracy of Islamorada, FL; one brother, Charles Piotrowski of Nazareth, PA; 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Alex and Scott and a special niece, C.J. Piotrowski.
The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 1st at 10:15 a.m. in St. Francis Cathedral, Main Street, Metuchen. There will be an informal gathering from 9 to 10 a.m immediately before the mass. at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Avenue, Metuchen. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen.
