Gloria Monti Obituary
AGE: 81 • Leesburg, FL
Gloria M. Monti, 81, of Leesburg, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at her home in Leesburg. She was born Gloria M. Pinto on June 20, 1933 in Manhattan, NY, where she grew up. During the 1950's, Gloria and her family relocated to Astoria, Queens, NY. She later moved to Wall Twp, with her husband and children, and eventually settled in Lakehurst, with her husband, Alberto. In 2008, Gloria relocated to Clermont, FL, before ultimately settling in Leesburg, FL. Before retiring, she worked as an executive assistant for Raytheon Inc. in NJ. She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Vita (Colucci) Pinto; her sister, Mary, along with her beloved husband, Alberto Monti. Gloria is survived by her loving daughters, Claudia Tillstrom and her husband Peter of Center Valley, PA, and Stephanie DiNonno and her husband James of Howey-in-the-Hills, FL; her dear sister, Lucy DiTuri of Astoria, NY, along with her cherished grandchildren, Lauren Tillstrom, Matthew, Justin, and Christopher DiNonno. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Family and friends are invited to visit from 2 to 4 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14 and from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Rt. 35 N, Hazlet. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at St. Benedict R.C. Church, Holmdel. Entombment, Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, Holmdel. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gloria to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, would be greatly appreciated.
