Hazel E. Bantleon

AGE: 88 • Brick

Hazel E. Bantleon (nee: Mitchell) passed away on Friday, September 21st at the Laurelton Village Care Center in Brick. She was 88. Born and raised in Elizabeth and Waretown, she lived in Colonia for over 40 years before moving to Brick 13 years ago. She was a graduate of Baton Highschool in Elizabeth. She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Fredrick Bantleon died in 1981. She is also predeceased by her daughter, Darlene Middleton; grandson, Manuel Canas; and brother, William Mitchell.

Surviving are her daughter, Susan Frost and husband Charles of Hampton (NJ), daughter, Ruth Canas of Florida, son, Fredrick Bantleon of Arkansas, daughter, Nancy Higgins and husband Joseph of Brick, and son, William Bantleon of Washington (NJ); 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat, Honey Bun.

Visitation will be held on Monday at 9 AM at the GOSSELIN FUNERAL HOME, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, with a Blessing at 11 AM. Burial to follow in Rosehill Cemetery, Linden. Condolences can be made to the family at www.gosselin funeralhome.com.
