AGE: 88 • Edison
Helen M. Kerr, of Edison died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 at the Roosevelt Care Center in Edison. She was 88. Born in Elizabeth on August 6th 1923, she attended Catholic School in Elizabethport. She worked 19 years as a Bookkeeper for a tool & die maker in Hillside. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's RC Church in Rahway where she enjoyed helping out at Bingo. Helen also loved her family, friends, dogs, especially Princess, and bird Claude. She loved traveling and enjoyed cooking, soap operas and raising pheasants.
She is predeceased by her companion of over 35 years, Joseph Fredo; and his brother, Daniel Fredo. Surviving are 4 nieces; 3 nephews; and their families.
Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, February 3rd at 10 AM at St. Mary's RC Church, 232 Central Avenue, Rahway. Private cremation held under the direction of the Gosselin Funeral Home, Edison. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Mary's RC Church, Rahway.
