Herman Brunn Obituary
AGE: 89 • Manville
Herman Philip Brunn, 89, entered into eternal life on Saturday October 31, 2015 at home in the presence of his loving family. Herman was born in Hanover Green, Pennsylvania to Henry Brunn and Alice (Morgan) Brunn of Nanticoke, Pennsylvania. Herman received his education in the Nanticoke Public Schools. From 1946 - 1947, Herman was stationed in Tokyo, Japan and served his Country Honorably in the United States Army. While there, he was a member of the General Headquarters Football Team. In 1953, Herman received his Bachelor of Science from King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He was a member of King's College baseball team for three years. Herman taught in the Manville Public Schools for 41 years. The Manville Teacher's Association presented Herman with a life membership in the Manville Education Association. In 2006 Herman was elected to the Manville Board of Education for a three year term. During his retirement, Herman enjoyed being with his grandchildren who played a major part in his life along with his immediate family. Herman was a Communicant of Christ The King Roman Catholic Church (Christ The Redeemer Parish) in Manville, NJ.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Frances M. Brunn, a son, Dr. James Edward Brunn and his wife Jane; two daughters, Frances Mary Brzycki and her husband Pat and Mary Alice Brunn and four grandchildren: Ryan Brzycki, Kyle Brzycki, James R. Brunn and Ann Brunn; two brothers, James Harold Brunn of Kingston, Pennsylvania and Henry Edward Brunn and his wife Dela of Blakeslee Corners, Pennsylvania.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ. Funeral Services are private. Donations may be made in his memory to: Christ The Redeemer Parish, P.O. Box 924, Manville, NJ 08835 or to a local food bank of your choice. I will always fondly remember Mr. Brunn as an excellent teacher and kind man. I enjoyed seeing him on my morning walks to school. My sincerest prayers and condolences to all of his family. May Jesus envelope you in his love and peace.

So sorry for your loss. I had Mr. Brunn as a Social Studies teacher about 24 years ago. I remember he was always a few steps ahead of me on the walk to school.

Sending our deepest condolences to the Brunn Family. Mr Brunn was a great teacher. I can still recite lines from the poem, The Children's Hour, that he had us recite in English class & always enjoyed seeing him in church. He will be missed.
