James Dockery Obituary
Mountainside - Pastor James E. Dockery transitioned this life 11/30/2017 in Mountainside, NJ. Born in Laural Hill, NC he has been a resident of Scotch Plains for 37 yrs. formerly of Edison, NJ. Pastor Dockery served as the pastor at he Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Bridgewater "Hobbs Town" for 32 yrs. and formerly served at the Miracle Baptist Church in Plainfield for 13 yrs. he was employed as a torque operator for the Ford Motor Co. in Edison. Predeceased by his parents Ed Johnson and Nora Dockery, sister Caroline Dockery, he is survived by his wife of 44 yrs. Diane M. Dockery, sons Maurice E., and Marcus J. Dockery, 3 grandchildren, 1 foster grandson, brothers Andrew and Robert Dockery, sisters Pearl Crews, Annie Smith, Beatrice Ware, Rosa Winston and a host of loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Miracle Baptist Church 11AM in Plainfield, Visitation will be held Wednesday 9-11AM at the church. arrangements by Judkins.
