JAN W. "JOHN" GUMUL
AGE: 65 CLINTON
Jan W. "John" Gumul, 65, of Clinton Twp., NJ died Sunday December 13, 2009 at home. He was born April 20, 1944 in Loyermoor, Germany and came to the U.S. in 1952 resided in Hillsborough, NJ before moving to Clinton Twp. in 1980. He was the son of the late Ignacy and Helen Wachocki. He was a custodian for the Hunterdon Central High School in Flemington, NJ and previously he was an Executive Chauffer for Foster Wheeler Corp in Union Twp., NJ he also was a Butcher for Pathmark and at Wegman's in Bridgewater. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran serving with the 3D Ranger Co. TSB 3A as Staff Sergeant from 1967 - 1973. He was a 81MM Mortar man receiving 2 Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years Madelyne M. `Lynn' Weis Gumul. 2-Daughters Lisa and husband John Blake of Boonton, NJ and Stacy and husband Steven Timko of Green Brook, NJ. 3-Grandsons Matthew and Patrick Blake and Bryce Timko. 2-Brothers Richard and Joey. 1-Sister Helen Berrios.
Calling Hours Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 and Funeral Prayers 10:00 AM Thursday all at the Scarponi-Bright F.H. Lebanon, NJ. Interment Union Cemetery Lebanon, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorials to Hunterdon Hospice or Hunterdon Cancer Center both at 2100 Wescott Drive Flemington, NJ 08822.
