John Hercules Andreadis

AGE: 95 • Perth Amboy

John Hercules Andreadis, 95 of Perth Amboy, NJ, died at the Residence, Perth Amboy, NJ. John was born in Pagontas, Greece, and he came to Ellis Island, New York in 1924 and came right to Perth Amboy. He was employed by Anaconda Company, Perth Amboy for 21 years. He retired in 1974. He was a Communicant of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. He served in the US Army during World War II in the South Pacific. He received the rank of Corporal and was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal. John was a member of the VFW Hopelawn Post 1352.

He is preceded in death by loving parents Hercules and Dina H. ( Anagnostou ); his two brothers Christopher and Aristedis "Eddie" Andreadis. He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years to Mary Angelina ( nee Zervos ); his beloved sons Artie Andreadis and his companion Haydee Luna, Ted and his wife Lisa Andreadis.

We begin to leave on Wednesday, October 14, 2013 at 9:15 am from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy for a Funeral Service at 10:00 am at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will be at Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visiting is on Tuesday from 2 ~ 4 & 7 ~ 9 pm with a Trisagon Service at 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of John can be made to either the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 41 ~ 47 Wisteria Street, Perth Amboy NJ 08861 or to VNA Hospice, 1100 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ 07712.
