John Ficik Obituary
AGE: 91 • Toms River
John J. Ficik, age 91, of Toms River, passed away November 3, 2015. Born in Vinna Slovikia, John lived in Englishtown before moving to Toms River in 1974. John worked for Rheem Manufacturing in Linden until he retired as Purchasing Manager. He served in the U.S. Navy on board the USS Colahan during WWII.
John was predeceased by his wife Doris Ficik in 2013, his son Craig Ficik, granddaughter Claudette, and his brother Al Ficik. Surviving are his daughters Karen Czech and her husband Bernie of Toms River, and Debora Early and her husband Carl also of Toms River; brother Robert of N.C.; sisters Mary Cauwels, and Helen Rogow both of Paramus. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 1-3 and 6-8 PM with a religious service starting at 7:30 PM at Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River, NJ 08753. Condolences can be sent to: www.carmonabolenfh.com

Hard to believe that five years have passed and that twenty years have passed since I moved to Florida from John and Doris's neighborhood. I have not been able to duplicate the friendship I had with both of them here in my new neighborhood. But as Bob Hope always said "Thanks for the Memories". RIP

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. Both John and Doris were wonderful neighbors and friends. Even after I moved to Florida, I always looked forward to calling John just to "catch up". As always, he was full of wit and humor. Rest in peace John, you were an irreplaceable friend
