Dennis, Jack, and family,

I regret missing the opportunity to share time with those with whom I spent so much time. I had a commitment at home in Greenville, SC this weekend which prevented me from coming back to the piece of earth to which I am most grounded.

I was quite conflicted over this, because, people like yourselves, Joe, Jack, Herman, Andy D, Bob Goddard, Chet, Richdale . . . well, the list goes on . . . are what, aside from my parents, made, and continue to make, that small circle on the map important to me.

I always enjoyed talking with Jack. He had a sense of humor and some great one-liners which were great because they hit the mark with clarity. I am truly glad that he had a nice long run of it.

Regards,

To the Fowler Family,
Your dad and grandfather was man who could always be trusted to see both sides of an issue, use his great perspective and offer an opinion without being overbearing. He was someone who was trusted in our fire department for his experience and wisdom. He was a good guy and will be greatly missed.

Deepest Sympathies,

John Maguire

During my 40 years in the fire service no one has influenced me more than Jack. Without Jack's mentoring, I would never have become the firefighter I am today, and I've been proud to pass this knowledge down to younger generations of firefighters. I know your pager is on up there, and you will always be with me on every call. God Bless you.

Rest in Peace for a good life, lived.

March 14, 2014

It is a sad day for Lincroft the Chief has gone to his reward. The Fowler family has always been an inspiration to all in this town. They gave as a family and made this town a wonderful place to grow up in and to live in. It takes a great man to inspire all who knew him and Jack was such a man. The town will miss him and I hope the respect we all have for him will add to your comfort.
Sincerely,
Mary Warneker Corbett

Grandma always told me, usually in a fit of pique, that I was just like my Uncle Jack. I liked it then and i have liked it since. Always was a compliment to me.
Love you Uncle Jack
