John Lazarczyk of Milltown, NJ passed away January 26, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 92 years old. Born in Sayreville, NJ, he was a resident of Milltown for over 61 years. He was employed for 40 years by Dupont Chemical as a chemist's assistant. He proudly served his country in the US Army in Okinawa during WWII. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church and worked as a custodian for the parish for 25 years. He was a member of the Sayreville Rangers, an avid bowler, and enjoyed hunting. He was a New York baseball Giants fan until they moved out of NY and then switched allegiances to the Mets. He was also a New York football Giants fan, enjoyed reading the paper, and doing crossword puzzles. Predeceased by six brothers: Frank, Stanley, Walter, Joseph, Benny, and Anthony and four sisters: Pearl, Bertha, Marion, and Valerie; John is survived by his beloved wife Madeline (née Benedict); son and daughter-in-law Robert and Judy Lazarczyk of Pompton Plains, NJ; son John of Spring Lake Heights, NJ; three daughters and sons-in-law: Thersesa and Joe Howarth of Milltown, NJ; Patricia and Kevin Power of Ellicott City, MD; and Nancy Lazarczyk Kentros and her husband Scott of Austin, TX. Also survived by eight grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Allison, Kelly, Kristi, Sean, Benjamin, Jack, and Mason. The family will welcome friends Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Bronson & Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown, NJ.
