My condolences to Mae and the Weck family. He was a good neighbor when I lived on Main Street and later when my sister and cousins lived at Dad's office. I enjoyed talking to him and Mae while I visited. Rest well, Mr. Weck, you certainly earned your place in Heaven...

We send to you our sympathy and our love.

While I never had the opportunity to meet him, I wanted to take a moment to pay my respects and to humbly thank Mr. Weck. It is because of the sacrifices made by Mr. Weck and his fellow veterans, and the courage and bravery they exemplified, that I am able to enjoy the freedoms and opportunities that I have today.

For those who didn’t know, Mr. Weck was one of our ‘Greatest Generation’ who helped liberate the Philippines during World War II and thus, helped ensure that my grandparents and my parents were able to prosper and ultimately bring me into this world.

Thank you, Mr. Weck, and rest in peace. My prayers are with you and your family.
