John Wood Obituary
AGE: 81 • Green Brook
John M. "Jack" Wood, 81, of Green Brook, passed away on Thursday; August 7th, 2014 at home with his loving family by his side. Born to the late Amelia and John Wood, Jack gratefully served our nation in the Navy from 1951-1955 during the Korean War. Jack worked as an iron worker for the union for many years as well as many other professions. He was a member of the North Plainfield American Legion and the Watchung Elks. Jack loved to golf and cheer for his favorite teams the New York Mets and New York Giants. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jack is predeceased by his loving wife Rosemary (2009) and his 4 brothers; Edward, Howard, Robert, and George. He is survived by his 4 daughters; Nancy Santora and husband Jeff of South Bound Brook, Rosemary Burnett of Manville, Kathryn Klumpp and husband Jeff of Watchung, and Jennifer Wood of Branchburg, 2 sons; John and wife Brett of Manville, and Martin Wood of Warren, 7 Grandchildren; Courtney, Robert, Jeffrey, Joey, Tyler, J.D., and Kelly, and his brother Richard of VA.
Visitation will be on Monday; August 11th, 2014 from 6-9PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. There will be a funeral service on Tuesday; August 12th, 2014 at 10AM at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. For more info please visit www.sheenanfh.com
