Joseph Albanese Obituary
AGE: 82 • Plainfield
Joseph Santo Albanese, devoted husband to Patricia (Caviston) and loving father to his 3 sons, Matthew and his wife Sabrina of CA; Mark and his wife Kathy of FL; Michael and his wife Kathy of NJ; one brother, Salvatore and his wife Karen of SI, NY and 7 grandchildren, Matthew, Stephanie, Christopher, Ryan, Paige, Evan and Christian passed away at Morristown Medical Center on Sunday, September 25th.
Joseph had a distinguished 60 year career in New York City as architect and structural engineer designing many of the local area's largest shopping malls and commercial buildings and some as far away as Saudi Arabia . He was especially proud of his work on the ESSO building and Madison Square Garden's renovation. They stand today as testament to his wide ranging capabilities as a professional architect. Joseph, a navy veteran, born in New York City and raised in Brooklyn was an avid classic car enthusiast.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, September 29th at 10 am Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Avenue (Rt. 27) Metuchen followed by a 11 am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard RC Church in Plainfield. All services will end at church, cremation is private.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

Pat and family, I was so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I have many fond memories of time spent with your family in NJ as well as at Liz and Dick's home in Carbondale. I will keep you all in my prayers and hope that the many years of happy memories and the love of family and friends will help get you through the hard times.
