Joseph Broxmeyer Obituary
AGE: 69 • Manalapan, formerly of Milltown
Joseph Broxmeyer, Sr., of Manalapan, NJ formerly of Milltown, NJ passed away at the Centra State Hospital in Freehold on February 20, 2012. He was 69 years old. Joseph was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1964 to 1965. He was an owner of the Broxmeyer Farm Stand in Milltown, and worked there from his youth until retiring in 2001. He also had worked for the Freehold School District for nine years. Joseph was a long time member of the Masonic Lodge in Milltown, and was a former member of the Joyce Kilmer American Legion Post #25 and a member of the Milltown Rangers.
Predeceased by three sisters, the late Caroline Mayle, Shirley Calloway and Millie Novak, he is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Ruthann (Colasurdo) Broxmeyer; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph Jr. & Jill Broxmeyer of Howell, NJ, Timothy & Kerri Broxmeyer of Howell, NJ and one daughter and son in law, Carri & Keith Bryson of Howell, NJ; two brothers, Gerald Broxmeyer of East Windsor, NJ and Fred Broxmeyer of Milltown, NJ and two sisters, Ruth Fulham of South River, NJ and Doris Eib of Alabama. Also survived by five grandchildren, Ryan, Lindsay, Brooke, Kaitlyn and Chase.
The family will receive friends Thursday, 7-9pm at the Bronson & Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown, with funeral services taking place at 8:30pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to a "charity of choice" would be appreciated. www.bronsonandguthleinfh.com
