JOSEPH S. "WHO" KUDELKA
AGE: 84 SOUTH AMBOY
Joseph S. "Who" Kudelka, 84, of South Amboy died Saturday July 24, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in South Amboy he lived there all of his life. He was employed by the City of South Amboy for 30 years, retiring as assistant superintendent of the Public Works Dept. in 1989. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church, South Amboy. He was also a member and Past President of the Mechanicsville Hose Co., South Amboy, a member of the Exempt Firemen's Assn. and VFW Post 4699, Sayreville.
His wife, Elizabeth Kennedy Kudelka died in 2005. He was also predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Sam, Al, John, Tillie, Mary, Henrietta and Hilda. He is survived by two sons, Daniel Kudelka and his wife, Kathryn and Joseph J. Kudelka; three daughters, Elizabeth J. Kern and her husband, George, Mary Szatkowski and her husband, John and Denise Morales, all of South Amboy; a sister, Rose McCarthy of South Amboy and five grandchildren, Danielle, Ryan, Beth Ann, Sean and Dani.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:15 am from The Gundrum Service "Home For Funerals" 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 11 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, South Amboy. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Monday from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. VFW Post 4699 will conduct services at 7pm Monday. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the South Amboy First Aid Squad P.O. Box 328, South Amboy, NJ 08879 would be appreciated.
