Joseph Milicia Sr., age 89, of Highland Park, died on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Born in New Brunswick he has been a resident of Highland Park for the past 50 years. He was a communicant at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church in Highland Park.

Joseph was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a former member of the American Legion Post #88 in Highland Park.

Mr. Milicia was a self-employed truck driver for many years before his retirement.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Delores Frazer Milicia; seven children; David Milicia and his wife, Lori, Patricia Seilwicki, Cynthia and her husband, John Holowach, Thomas Milicia, Frank Milicia and his wife, Kathi, Joseph Milicia and his wife, Debbie, and Peter Milicia, one sister, Antoinette Stevenson, two brothers, Peter and Dominick Milicia, 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call from from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday January 24, 2017 at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park. Funeral services will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church (Transfiguration of the Lord Parish) in Highland Park. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick.
