Joseph Rizzo Obituary

Joseph F. Rizzo

Lincroft - Joseph F. Rizzo, 66, of Lincroft passed away at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank on January 7, 2019. He was born in Hoboken and had lived in Lodi before moving to Lincroft 35 years ago. He worked as an electrical engineer for both Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies for many years before retiring. Among his proudest accomplishments, was his induction into the NJ Inventor's Hall of Fame in 1991.

He is predeceased by his father, Michael Rizzo.

Surviving are his mother, Irene Rizzo; his wife of 45 years, Virginia (Tamburri) Rizzo; his three daughters: Virginia Macedo, Mary Rizzo and Susan DeNoia; his brother, Michael Rizzo; his sister, Patricia Frino and his four grandchildren: Michael, Tony, Joey and James.

Visitation will take place at John E. Day Funeral Home 85 Riverside Avenue Red Bank, NJ 07701 from 2-5 PM on Saturday January 19, 2019 with a funeral home service at 4:30PM. All other arrangements are private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in Joseph's memory to: Michael J. Fox Foundation, PO Box 5041 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
