Karen Salerno Obituary
Piscataway - Karen Marie (Kendzulak) Salerno, 53, passed away on September 25, 2018 at RWJ University Medical Center at Somerset in Somerville with her loving family at her side. Born in Somerville, Karen grew up in Londonderry, NH until the age of twenty-four, lived in Bound Brook until her marriage in 1992 and then settled to Piscataway.
Karen worked as a Sales Representative for Berry Global Plastics for several years. She loved arts and crafts, enjoyed painting and was dedicated to her entire family. She could always be found enjoying her time down the shore and loved decorating her home.
Predeceased by her father Thomas Kendzulak and father-in-law Joseph Salerno, Karen is survived by her loving and devoted family; husband Paul, son Matthew and daughter Gabby all of Piscataway. She also leaves behind her mother Joan (Yannetta) Kendzulak of Londonderry, NH, brother Tom and his wife Becky of Windham, NH, mother-in-law Mary Salerno, brothers and sisters-in-law; Joe, Linda, Maryann, Tom, John, Diane, Jim, Peter, Stephen and Lisa as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to join directly at St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic Church in Piscataway on Saturday, September 29, 2018 for a 9:30 am Funeral Mass.
At the request of Karen's family, cremation services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations sent to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) would be appreciated.

To Paul, Matt and Gabby I am so saddened to hear of Karen's passing. We only met this past summer on the cruise trip but we felt like we knew your family for years. Karen was so much fun and great to have a conversation with. Our deepest condolences to you and your family. May She Rest in Eternal peace. You are all in our prayers
